look for the light

I love this photo of the daughter of a friend of mine. It was taken when we were all out to lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory! They had just lovely light coming through their windows! I want to book sessions there! I’m thinking the management wouldn’t appreciate it though.

It goes to show though that sometimes we have to just grab the moment.

blue eyes

Posted by admin on Mar 01 2008 | sneak peek

I had a wonderful session on Thursday with this lovely 4-year-old.

Doesn’t she have the bluest eyes?

She was a lot of fun…she rarely stopped dancing! I have a lot more editing to do, so these are just a couple of my favorites. ! I was so happy the rain held off so we could go outside for a bit!

The beach in February?

Why not? The weather sort of cooperated. It was only sprinkling while we were there! We practically had the place to ourselves and the kids had fun for awhile. The cold did start to get to them and we had to cut things short though. But there are some shots to remind them of the quintessential Seattle day when they are enjoying the sunshine in their new homestate!

Sweetheart Special

smooch!

February is the month for spreading the love around! In honor of Valentine’s Day, if you book a session this month, you can bring along someone you love. That’s right… one session fee, and you can bring a friend and their kids!

I will spend at least one hour with each family and provide each family with 20-30 proofs in a private online gallery. One location, 2 families, ONE session fee. That is only 50.00 for each family! To take advantage of this sweetheart of a deal, you must book your session before 2/29. The full session fee (100.00) is due at the time of booking, and the session must take place before June. To sweeten the deal a little more, each family will receive one complimentary 5×7.

SNOW DAY!

Monday we woke up to about 3″ of snow! Just enough to break out the new sled I had bought the previous week on clearance! My littlest daredevil had a blast!! She’s only been with her dad before, so this was her first solo experience. She loved it and was terrified at the same time!

Then it was home for hot chocolate with marshmallows…

Sneak peek

A few days before Christmas I had a session with a big family that were all together for the holidays. The whole big family was adorable, but the kids especially so. This little cutie is coming up on one year. She took a while to warm up to me, but she did awesome considering she was soooo sleepy from a flight over from Hong Kong the day before!

The two older girls were so much fun to photograph. I’m more used to toddlers I guess because it was such a nice surprise to have my subjects actually look at me without me waving a puppet around and making goofy noises! These girls could be models they were so poised and gorgeous!

The teen years are right around the corner for this lovely young lady. She just radiates a natural beauty!

Here’s the whole gang…I hope you had a great Christmas!
